waterpump

i have been using alot of water in the golf recently and i think the water pump may be leaking how much whould it be to get this replaced as the cam belt goes round it and no way am i touching that

are you sure its the water pump because theres two very common faults with the mk3! they leak from the seal on the thermastat housing if thats spelt right! theres two of them one on the front of the block and the second is on the side above the gear box, i had to change both of them on the vento. check these first,

i will have to look but i cant see no leaks really but they is alot of water about in the engine bay so it may be just that ... if it was the head gasket i would of known about it by now

get spell check thing for fire fox its alot better lol

best thing to do is watch it with the engine running and squease the pipe you should see water pissing out . . . . its less than a tenner to fix it!

had a look and i think its defo the waterpump its leaking from so back to my qestion how much whould this cost to get changed ????
