Hello all,

Just thought I should finally get logged on and registered!
Proud(ish) owner of Mk1 Campaign in Alpine White... and the missus drives a Touran. Been 6 years and very little actual work but the Golf went mobile again in May, various bits of body work done recently but the overbore engine had done a ring and head gasket 6 years ago... and 3 children leave no time to fix it.. inspiration was found from somewhere.

I've known Laneyboy for years now (inspiration to buy the first VW. 64 Beetle, Mk11 Scirocco, couple of mk2 golf GTI's and then the Campaign bought in approx 2000 (anyone remember Jaeger's yard in Yaxley??). Finally the Touran came to deal with Kiddie number 3. Few others may be familiar when I come to Sunday's meet (Vwminx does the village (Castor) hair cuts). Would love to do BVF but am tooo busy.

It was indeed me, parked up on the side of the drive, the Touran was also there. Brief visit with the missus and 2 kids (1 was with Gran) on Sunday, good to see some nice vehicles. Our new born has been a bit ill and sleep deprevation has made me slightly unsociable. We didn't stay for long and the eldest just wanted to play in the park (I was the overgrown child cycling on the roundabout thing!!) Will try to get to a mid week or Chequered skipper meet and 'do the rounds' as it were.

The missus is gutted there are no pics of the Touran on the forum
